The line therapist is responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services under the close, ongoing supervision of an AAP Waiver Consultant. The line therapist does not design intervention or assessment plans. The supervising AAP Waiver Consultant determines and assigns tasks for the line therapist to perform as a function of his/her training, experience, and competency levels.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or national equivalent.
  • Must complete 80 hours of specific autism training.
  • Must be available to work evening and weekends.
  • Complete a criminal background check and FBI background check.


  1. Provide in-home implementation of the intervention according to the Individual Treatment Plan.
  2. Recording of data as set forth in the treatment plan.
  3. Reporting progress/concerns to the Lead Therapist/Consultant as needed.
  4. Enters billing and other requested documentation into the waiver software as requested and by the set deadlines
  5. Stores all notes, data collection, graphs, etc. in designated area in compliance with HIPAA.
  6. Speaks in a well-modulated, pleasant, and caring voice to children, parents and staff.
  7. Represents the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way.
  8. Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies.
  9. Ensures confidentiality of children and employee information.
  10. Responds to internal and external requests for information according to clinic policy.
  11. Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  12. Completes tasks in a timely manner.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear.  The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to maintain regular and punctual attendance. The employee is required to complete tasks in a timely manner.
